I am really impressed. I speak 5 languages, but no way near to the proficiency that you speak your 6 languages. Your accents, rhythm, and pace are impressive. Even your French, which I could tell, barring the Vietnamese, is the one, like you admitted, that you're weakest in. But Nevertheless, I am very impressed. I wish I could speak Spanish and French like you do. Have you ever considered Italian? Como idioma, el italiano es muy similar al español. Mira aquí qué parecido es. Come lingua, l’italiano è molto simile allo spagnolo. Guarda qui quanto è simile. (Barring some exceptions, you need to pronounce words phonetically, pronouncing every letter. The exception here is spagnolo - pronounced spañolo and not españolo like Spanish-speaking people tend to do.) Comme je l'ai déjà dit. Les langues, italien et espagnol, sont très similaires. Peut-être, tu peux m'enseigner le coréen. O que achas?

A dilemma is a “situation that requires a choice between options that are or seem equally unfavorable or unsatisfactory.” None of these are dilemmas. Also, I think you meant “mental state”, not “mental status”. It sounds super weird to tell someone that their “mental status is good”, unless you are a psychiatrist who has just done a series of examinations on them.

I'm not a polyglot, I know English and Polish, but a little bit of Korean and Japanese. I keep having problems, where I'd get confused and unable to figure out what language I'm thinking in at the moment. When I hear Korean or Japanese, I can easily understand which one is which, but when I'm thinking, I can't tell anymore what word is from which language, so often, trying to form a sentence, I end up mixing Korean and Japanese without even realising. Often, I forget some polish or English words, sometimes I mix up spelling and pronunciation between those two. At school we had lessons of polish, german and English. I kept having this problem, where I'd get stuck and stumble on words, where I'd be asked to say a sentence, which would end up being a mix of german and English words. When I'd be asked to count from 0-20 f.e. I would start in german, mix in some polish and Japanese and end with English XD. I'd often stress so bad because I knew this problem will occur, that I'd forget how to count even in my native language, and I'd just stand there panicking, because I couldn't for the life of me remember any needed word at all. Ending german lessons, my brain couldn't switch up on time and if someone asked me something on a break or on another lesson, I'd keep talking in german (or at least try to) before realising I'm using the wrong language. Same if it's with English. Now I live in England, and if a polish person approaches me, I'd start with English because my brain just doesn't register, that I need to switch. When I visit Poland, I still keep talking in English with every single interaction with a stranger I'd have. It's so annoying and confusing.. And very embarrassing too, when I have to adjust my language mid-conversation all the time. I just can't help it. I'm now 23 and ever since elementary school, it has always been the problem :/.

You are amazing, Miss Seo! I think you can already beat almost all polyglot RUclipsrs, including Mr. Steve Kaufmann. As a Japanese born in an ethnically-Chinese immigrant family (I scored 290/300 on HSK 6), I can say that your Standard Chinese is almost perfect, at least better than me in speaking🙂. You even scored 90% on the writing part, which is, to my knowledge, extremely difficult even for some professional translators. Your Japanese, though with some accent, is also decent enough in grammar and wording! You are indeed a true, certified polyglot!

Hi My Lang, your pronunciation is fine, I could understand your Vietnamese without looking at the sub :) there is room for improvement upon the tones but I bet you would be able to master it in no time. The only suggestion that I have for you, and actually for all of the foreigners who are learning the language is that we Vietnamese never use the pronounce "Tôi" in our everyday life. It is a very formal way to say "I". The pronounces in Vietnamese are quite a headache because you use it in according with the person whom you speak to. But I would say for the benefits of producing RUclips videos like this, using "Em" would be quite acceptable and much more preferable by most Vietnamese. Thank you for learning my language!!!

Late to this but as someone who's a Computer Science Major, if there was a good algorithm to make it so that languages wouldn't need to be studied it would've been done a while ago. Google Translate has its own issues with translating things from Japanese to English and visa versa because of just how different the 2 languages are. Computer languages are one thing as they all tend to follow a sort of consistent information to them, but human languages just don't work that way as there tends to be exceptions for any rule that a language tends to have and they'd need to be specified for when those exceptions apply. This also isn't even to mention that there are different ways of saying something in language as the assumption that people make here is that languages are one to one which is very clearly false because if that was the case translators wouldn't be necessary. Bottom line I don't think there will ever be a time where learning languages won't be needed because "technology can get it done" sure there might be advancements to it and it might get better and better, but to the point where translators won't be needed probably not.

I am polyglot - I speak 5 languages: one of Moroccan berber language, Classical Arabic, French, Spanish, English). Few years ago, I started learning Turkish from their drama/music - i understand 60% of the conversation- I still have a lot to learn but I stopped putting effort into it about 2 months ago because I accidentally discovered kdrama and surprisingly I liked it- I found myself trying to learn Korean without a second though hhhh- I started watching videos like these but they make me frustrated- my ultimate goal (was an old desire) is to learn Chinese, but finding myself getting drawn to learn Korean is making me worry. I don’t know if learning Korean will help me eventually learn chinese better or make it easier yo learn. Some people say, learning Japanese is more helpful to learn first before learning Chinese, but I have no desire putting time and effort into it (Japanese). I am wondering if learning Korean will have any advantage as far as learning chinese? Any idea? Thank you in advance

ep. Yoo Seung Hee: "Proof that the Korean state condoned and managed sex trafficking." 'Base Village Women Management' document signed by Park Chung-hee's parents released Base Village Cleanup Measure Document A document signed by former President Park Chung-hee was released at a national audit by the National Assembly's Committee on Women and Family Affairs on June 6. (See photo.) The document is evidence that the state condoned and managed sex trafficking, which was strictly prohibited by the Anti-Defrauding Act at the time, but the Ministry of Women's Affairs was found to have failed to grasp the substance of the situation. It was revealed that the female victims of the base village are preparing a lawsuit for damages against the state, claiming that they were victimized because of the state policy. The 'Base Village Women's Purification Measures' submitted and disclosed by Rep. Yoo Seung-hee of the Democratic Party of Korea from the National Records Office was created in April 1977, and was supposed to have been created by 'Political Affairs 2'. The Office of Councilor Yoo Seung Hee clarified, "It is presumed that it was prepared by the Office of Political Affairs of the Presidential Office at that time. The document, which was signed by President Park Chung-hee on May 2 of the same year after being approved by the head of the Political Affairs Office, identified 9,935 women living in 62 base villages nationwide at the time. The document prepared a plan of action in the following four areas: (1) extermination of venereal diseases, (2) tidying up the surrounding area, (3) water for daily use, and (4) other matters. The document includes measures against venereal disease, which was a problem for the women in the base village at the time, reorganization of the base village area, and the supply of clean water. The other item that stands out is a plan to provide base village women with their own private apartments. Councilor Yoo explained, "This plan was later called into question as a public prostitution controversy and was scrapped. Park Jeong-mi Park, a research professor at Hanyang University who received her doctorate in "Research on Korean Sex Trafficking Policy," said, "There are not many documents that have the president's signature among those that say the base village women were managed on a government level. It has historical significance," she said. However, it was revealed that the Ministry of Women's Affairs has not even conducted a survey of the actual situation of these base village women, even after receiving a request for such a survey. Councilor Yoo said, "Base village women who contracted venereal diseases at that time were forced to live in internment camps. In effect, the state systematically managed sex trafficking," said Cho Yoon-sung, "This is the first time I have seen such a document. It appears that the document was created in the context of victim support. We will look at the documents and conduct a general investigation. Councilor Yoo responded, "I asked the same question to former Secretary Kim Geum-hye last year, and she answered that she would investigate. Does that mean that there has been no investigation for a year? Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) After the argument, Chairman Kim Sang-Hee stood up and said, "Last year, I demanded that the national audit be conducted to understand the situation and formulate a policy. There seems to be no progress. The problem is that the Secretary has not received a proper report or grasp of the situation in relation to this area," he pointed out. While the government stood by and watched, the base village victim women decided to file a lawsuit against the state to claim compensation for damages. On the same day, Seumto Shin Yong-sook, head of the women's support group for the base village victims, said in a call with <Hangyoreh>, "Evidence that the South Korean government effectively operated comfort women for the U.S. military is appearing one after another. We plan to gather evidence and cases of damage as soon as possible and file a class action lawsuit together with the Lawyers Association for a Democratic Society to demand compensation for the damage.
